We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our Support & Operations team in Oslo. You will provide third-line support to our customers, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and proactively, while closely collaborating with both technical and commercial teams.
About the job
As an Operations Engineer at Telavox, you will be the expert our customers turn to for complex technical issues and operational processes. Your role will combine troubleshooting, system monitoring, and customer guidance, ensuring our services run smoothly and our customers thrive.
You will focus on understanding the customer’s business, analyzing technical and operational issues, and resolving them effectively. Additionally, you will monitor our systems, report key metrics, and contribute to ongoing improvements in tools and processes.
Your day-to-day work includes:
Providing third-line support via phone and our customer support system
Troubleshooting and resolving technical and operational issues with Telavox products and services
Supporting and managing systems such as BSS Customer Care GUI, My Page, My Company, Windows Server, and user administration
Training customers on Telavox solutions and helping them maximize value
Analyzing mobile telephony and VoIP calls, including signaling history, SIP, and pcap logging
Configuring and analyzing UCaaS switchboard solutions
Managing product configurations, pricing updates, and system monitoring
Proactively responding to system alerts and initiating corrective actions
Reporting key performance metrics to customers
Working with databases (Oracle, MSSQL) to perform technical operations
Participating in and supporting billing processes according to routine
About you
You are a self-driven, positive, and service-oriented professional who thrives on solving technical and operational problems for customers. You understand the importance of customer business needs, are proactive in finding solutions, and enjoy collaborating across teams.
Key skills and experience we are looking for:
2+ years of experience in technical or operational support, ideally in telecom or at a mobile operator
Strong IT and technical knowledge; formal education or equivalent practical experience is acceptable
Familiarity with databases and SQL is a plus
Experience with invoicing and customer billing is a plus
Ability to analyze technical data, logs, and system behavior to resolve issues efficiently
High integrity, solution-oriented, proactive, and structured
Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal
Team player with strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Interest and willingness to learn how Telavox products and services function in depth
