About the job 

As a Systems Engineer in a small, diverse and highly impactful Infrastructure team, you'll play a pivotal role in our quest to deliver a great platform for Telavox services. You will work in an environment of constant growth and increasingly diverse requirements. More specifically, we enable Telavox ambitious growth plans by increasing ability to scale quickly, containing complexity and increasing speed of product development🌍⏩

Currently we are hard at work to increase self-sufficiency for downstream application teams through easy access to hardware resources in the form of containers and VMs. The result?🔍 A clean interface between infrastructure and application teams, making developers thrive on self-sufficiency and orchestration. We do this in various environments, including on-prem infrastructure. It's challenging, yes, but it's also an incredibly rewarding journey! 🤸‍♀️

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll be busy with👉

1. Improve scalability, security and accessibility aspects of our platform, in areas like virtualization/container environments, storage and automation.
2.  Building and improving developer-facing APIs for on-prem hardware resources
3.  Build and improve monitoring and other tooling to facilitate high reliability and efficient maintenance📱
4. Collecting requirements, feedback and input from colleagues in other teams to ensure we build the best possible solution
5. Identifying problem areas and suggesting strategies for approaching them.

You'll have a direct hand in shaping our private cloud vision, designing and implementing the very solutions that define our future success🏅 To thrive in our team, we value your 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

To be successful in the role, we think you bring the following qualities✅:

🌱Experience in Linux, Kubernetes, container technologies and virtualization

🌱 Proficiency in compute, storage and network intricacies 

🌱 Comfort with cloud-native architecture concepts like microservices, event-driven architecture and observability

🌱 Overall eagerness for learning, sharing, and engaging in insightful discussions 

🌱 A software developer background and mindset

🌱 Any experience within telecom / voice streaming is a merit! 💫
