About the job
As Telavox new IT Technician, you will be one of three go-to persons for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software while being responsible for answering questions and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner. You will be a part of the IT team and will have daily interaction with systems- and computer users across the whole company.
You will provide support for IT equipment such as our computers, mobile phones and other things we need to do a great job every day. Sometimes we need to order a new mobile phone, someone has forgotten their password and sometimes absolutely nothing works - in all these cases you are quickly helpful and have solutions to the problems. In addition to this, you are an expert in configuration and troubleshooting of all our equipment, such as Mac, PC and Linux as well as our mobile operating systems such as iOS, Android. And of course, sometimes our printer and our network crash…
What you’ll be up to
Maintaining internal systems ( FreshService, Google Workspace, Workspace One, AzureAD, GCP, Office 365, password manager and the list goes on…)
IT support, server management, basic networking
Best practices around data security
Understand and proactively maintain daily system performance, having the ability to troubleshoot all kinds of problems, and follow-up
Support for Apple and Android mobiles, Macs, PC’s, Printers, Servers, Networks and related equipment (you know, everything from monitors, keyboards, mice and hard drives to ethernet cables, projectors and video conference equipment)
Getting down and dirty in whatever IT projects are ongoing, source and defining requirements, communicating and coordinating as well as follow-up with colleagues throughout the whole company
Stay up to date in the field and introduce Telavox to new smart solutions.
To handle everything our Telavoxers need help with regarding IT, we use Helpdesk (because those who shout about their problem at most may not always have the most panic really). If you are not already, you will become an expert in entering, prioritizing, scheduling, managing and closing cases here.
This role is based in Malmö and you will report to the IT Manager.
To really be able to have fun and at the same time be successful at work we think you need to be an initiative-taking, problem-solving and collaborative person that loves improvement and helping people around you, regardless of whether the solution is simple for you or if you had to figure out for a while how to solve it. You also need to have an understanding of how computers, networks and IT systems work to take care of and troubleshoot our operating systems, applications and other equipment.
You prefer sustainable solutions that will work over a long period, rather than quick fixes that will make this non-technical person in front of you (someone in our human resources department for example) disappear quickly (but will probably nag about the same problem tomorrow). We think you are extra good if you also train users and show this person how to solve the problem in the future (and sometimes you just need to nag a bit about how it is good to restart your computer from time to time… ).
We also hope you have a magical ability to keep a cool head and focus on solving problems as the network goes down and no one can work or when our satellite offices are eagerly awaiting the live streaming of our quarterly town hall meeting and nothing works. (Hopefully, you do not understand the problem regarding the latter as you have already ensured that it works a couple of hours before).
As this role collaborates with almost every other part of Telavox it's given that you enjoy working with a wide range of people with various backgrounds.
Hard skills needed
Have 2+ years of experience or competence working in an IT Service/Help desk environment and know established IT service delivery practices.
Strong experience supporting both macOS and Windows. We also work with Linux, iOS and Android.
Experience w/ technologies like Google Workspace, Active Directory, SSO, MDM, and Identity Access Management.
Producing technical documentation for colleagues
Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English, both verbal and written.
It would be great if you also:
- Google Workspace
Managing mid-to-large Google Workspace environments
Google workspace certifications
Have scripting knowledge (Bash, Shell and Powershell)
Networking experience w/ wifi, switch and firewalls.
IT Security experience.
Have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or GCP
Are service-oriented and humoristic (though we already know you are)
Have experience working in a Tech/SaaS company
